    Housing Information
    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) is provided by the military to help active service members with housing costs, and can be used for either on- or off-post housing.

    • The Military Housing Office  (928) 269-2826/3643 will be your first point of contact when you receive moving orders, and provides services that will help you with referrals, relocation assistance, guidance for entering a lease agreement and tenant-landlord disputes.

    MCAS Yuma On Base Housing ( Rent On Base )

    • Bachelors ranked E5 and below will need to contact the Billeting Office at (928) 269-2722/2591 for assistance with room assignment.

    • MCAS Yuma on-base housing is privatized. To check available housing for you rank and family size, contact Lincoln Military Housing (928) 344-1240. They have two communities with over 800 2-4 bedroom single family and apartment style homes with a variety of amenities, such as: central AC, covered parking or garage and dishwasher. The communities feature tot lots, swimming pool and more.

    MCAS Yuma is in Yuma, Arizona. The city has about 93,000 people, and about 200,000 people in the surrounding area, plus a snowbird population of another 85,000. Other nearby small communities include Somerton, San Luis, and Fortuna Foothills. Commuting from downtown Yuma to the air station takes about 14 minutes, and commutes around Yuma are usually less than half an hour. The area outside of the city is lightly populated, and generally desert, although there are some green places along the river. Winters are moderate to warm; summers are hot to very hot.

    About the Installation
    Marine Corps Air Station Yuma is home to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, the Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron 1, and the Marine Fighter Training Squadron 401. The air station shares space with the Yuma International Airport and is located near Yuma, Arizona. MCAS Yuma is the busiest air station in the Marine Corps and its primary mission is to provide aerial weapons support for the Marine Forces and Navy for the Pacific and Atlantic Fleets.
